Hey there,

got a question about Quark Mini 123 (or even better, all the twisties out there)
Will the twisty (twisties) continue to drain battery even if it isn't fully twisted for use?

Ex: Surefire recommend its flashlights to be twisted out to minimize this, is there such feature in Quark or other twisties?

Thanks in advance.

No.

All twisties turn off the light by opening the electrical circuit. Hence, no battery power can be drawn.

True.

But we can not include the RA TWISTY in this category. Even if it's called TWISTY, it does not use the same principle as regular twisties.

Thanks carrot & derfyled for replying.

What do you mean by that? how does Ra Twisty differ from normal twisties?
Thanks

The RA Twisty has constant contact point with the cell. As soon as you start to screw the tailcap, the cell is getting analyzed for voltage. The twisty interface is used to trigger some internal switches instead of making contact like a regular twisty flashlight.
