I had a felling that a quality light could not be made that cheap but with all the good reviews I still bought one. What a POS the thing does not turn on half the time and when it does has a green tint. Thought I was getting a better light but I guess you get what you pay for I just hope the Jetbeam I have on order is better.

I personally wouldn't say that it's a POS, but I will say I gave mine away. I just received my Jet 1 Pro V3, and it's a definite keeper. They are 2 very different lights however. The Jet will be much larger, and is never going to hang from your keychain. What I didn't like about the mini 123 was that the threads were very loose, and when I backed the head off enough to turn it off, it was so loose I was afraid it would come off in my pocket. I did keep my Mini AA neutral however and find it to be a nice pocket light.

Maybe you got a lemon? Have you tried contacting 4sevens for an RMA?

I assume you've cleaned the contacts and lubricated the threads properly?

My Mini123 is great, and my minicr2 is good too.

I am very happy with my mini 123 too and I think you should contact 47's if you are unhappy, there customer service is pretty solid. I will say though that I worry about their quality control since a pretty good number of people seem to be unhappy with the lights that they receive.

Mine also has "loose" threads, is this normal ? I'm afraid to use it because when the head is loosened it can turn on in my pocket because the head is loose enough to make contact.

How loose is yours? My head can move about a half mm due to thread play, and I don't consider this to be a problem.

My mini AA is outstanding. Cant say anything about the 123 though

My Mini AA is also outstanding. I decided to start buying cr123 lights and I good start would be the mini. The Mini 123 must be twisted really tight to turn it on. To add insult to injury because the head is so sloppy when you twist it rocking the head back and forth will make contact and the light will flash on then off so by the time you get the head tight you have passed low and medium and are in high.

The AA will be going back on a key chain.

Mine works great, I've had no problems. Send it back, get a refund or a new light.

I like my mini123, it's amazing and super white. I think half the complaints here are from people who have their mind made up before they leave.

Mine is nearly the perfect light. Good low, good high, very small, great UI.

Could it be that you're looking for a $100 light when you're spending $39?

I love my mini 123. So much in fact I have bought two more to give as gifts and the recipients are also enamored. Perhaps you got a lemon

My Mini 123 is ok, I too am somewhat worried about losing the head. I also noticed that if you tap the head the light will come on (not good in my book). The coating isnt that good considering that it's never been on a key chain before. Besides those issues the light does what it's supposed to do. My Ti Mini 123 has none of those issues that the regular Mini 123 has pretty interesting huh.

i don't really think one light that isn't functioning properly out of the many sold is grounds to call the MiNi a POS

I have been nothing but pleased with my MiNi 123Ti. Tiny light, fantastic output, at a great price.

As for the people having issues with the light turning on when u tap the head or worrying about the head falling off, on mine once the head is loosened to the point where it won't turn on due to any pressing or tapping, from that point it still takes at least 3 full turns for the head to actually come off the light.

What he said. :)
This must just be a 123 version problem. The Quark Mini AA I just received as part of a trade is perfect. There is no loose threads at all. The amount of force to tighten and loosen the head is completely consistant the whole time. There is no loose head syndrome at all!
