btw, one of the cheapest ways to buy and try different CCT of 519a is to buy a Convoy T3.
For under $20 you get your pick of any 519a CCT, with dome On.. Then you can dedome it if youre curious to see the difference for yourself. (or email Simon and request he dedome for you to begin with)
How to dedome a 519a:
DeDoming works w a cold LED, but sometimes a few fragments of the dome will stick around the perimeter and just need to get pushed off separately. The glue releases more easily if the LED is warmed up first (by running the light for a few seconds on a high output).
note that dedoming ruins the clean hotspot perimeter (in lights w a reflector), this bothers me, so I dont usually DeDome LEDs in a reflector.. otoh lights with a diffusion optic do a decent job of blending a DeDomed beam.
Convoy also sells 20mm diameter optics. The perimeter can be sanded down by 1mm, to fit the T3. I like the 30 degree pebbled Tir:
