Could somebody please describe how the holster attaches to your belt? From the picture it looks like it does not attach to the belt at all, instead there's a plastic 'ring' at the top from where you hang/clip it onto something else, like your pants.

I'm hoping the belt 'threads' through the back of the holster if you know what I mean.

If anyone has some pictures of it attached to their belts, this would greatly help :)

If it is the same as the L-type holsters, there is a belt loop on the back of the holster for attachment.

Speaking of holsters, does anyone know if the Ripoffs models for Minimags will fit an L2D? I have an old Ripoffs sheath/holster, about 25 years old, that is a bit too tight for my L2D. When new the Minimag was a very tight fit. I'm wondering if maybe the newer ones are a little looser. I want a full flap holster like this: http://www.ripoffs.com/datasheets/co10/co10.html I'd prefer to carry head down.

I use a RipOffs BL-153 case

for my Fenix L2D-CE, and it fits perfectly.

You can use it either head-up, or head-down (my choice).

Bought it from Bright-Guy last June, for $10.95.

So glad to see that RipOffs has been brought back from the dead !

A The D ring is so that you can attach it to your Keyring, belt hook or other

Anyone who knows how to use the D shaped ring? (On my work-pants there is a similar d-ring)

A: I don't think there is anything to "know" about using the D ring.

Why??? They've added the ring, it is designed for a reason! Look at the design! Monty Python Lyrics » I Like Chinese......

The design is made for a reason?
:twothumbs

I have found the D-ring to be very useful in my L1D, L2D body swaps. I can leave the cell(s) in the body and push the D-ring down over the opening. It works like a clamp preventing the cell(s) from falling out. Another use I have found is while the holster is in use on my belt I like to push the D-ring over the tail cap preventing accidental activation, with-out having to worry so much about locking out the tail cap. I have oft wondered if this is was designed that way because it perfectly rests on the outer edge of the tail cap. I have used the D-ring to attach it to my tool bag numerous times.

i don't know waht the d-ring is for, except to use it wherever it 'could' be used, i.e caribiner clips, paracord,, or looping through compression straps, i'm with winterzelt on this one, "use your brain" (not in conjunction with the d-ring), use it [the brain], to think of what you can attach it too..
