Here where I live the temperature is 35C. I store AA Ni-MH batteries with 100% charge but I would like to preserve these batteries but I do not know how often I should recharge these batteries annually. Brands Toshiba and Mox. What is the recommendation?

Do AA Ni-MH batteries have more problems with loss of useful life when stored at 0% or 100%? My Mox and Toshiba chargers do not have a charge indicator, they just turn off at 100% charge.

I don't know if they are low self discharge cells, if you know if they are you can discharge them a bit otherwise I usually discharge them all the way down and throw in about 30% of capacity.

In your case you'll need the charge rate of the charger and then simply set a timer to about how long it would take to reach 30% of charge. You can figure out with an online nimh calculator.

If in storage, charge to 100% and drain to 40% each year. If in periodic use with a few months storage, charge to 90% every couple months. If in use, recharge to 100% on a smart charger.
