So I just got my Pila charger and have a question. I don't have any rcr123's yet, but I was trying the cr's I have in the charger to see how they fit. This is probably a silly question to most of you so bear with me. The only way they fit is end to end after taking the extensions out of the charger. Is this the way they are supposed to charge, or do I need spacers of some sort?

Noooo... only ONE battery in a slot. Remember, it's a 3.7v battery charger. If you put 2 batteries in series like that, you'll have 7.4 volts! Not good! :poof:

But yes, you'll need to come up with some spacer(s) to fill the gap to make the connection. Either with, or without the included screw-in adapter.

Thanks guys. After reading through those links Norm provided, it looks like I can stack the spacers it came with and fill 'em up. Good thing I checked here before blowing something up! Great forum...these lights are fun!

Hey Spicy. I'm pretty sure you are already aware of this, but just in case......:caution:Never attempt to charge CR123A (primary/non-rechargeable) cells, in any type of charger. This will almost certainly result in a "vent with flame" event, or an explosion.:caution:

Again, I don't think that's what you were doing, or planning to do but......
