Been doing lots of reading but still not sure about taking a PowerEx 2700 that is not new and running a break-in with the C9000. After discharging, charging and then discharging the capacity is showing only to be 2300 mAh. So when I do a break-in do I set the capacity when asked to the 2300 or 2700 for best results?
thanks,
Ken

Some will tell you to enter 2700. Personally I would like to play it safe and use 2300.

Are they new cells? I've found that I typically need to cycle my PowerEx 2700's a few times for them to get up to their rated capacity.

EDIT: Never mind. I see your OP says they aren't new.

Hello Ken,

Just to add another perspective... :)

Most 2700 mAh cells actually test to around 2500 mAh. I would suggest using 2500 mAh as the capacity during the Break-In, initially. If your cells are really at 2300 mAh, then the next time you do a Break-In cycle you can use that value.

Keep in mind that should the capacity of those cells drop below about 2000 mAh, I would classify them as crap cells and recycle them.

Thanks for the advice guys! It's taken many hours reading here but I think I am beginning to understand my batteries with all the help from CPF. I know how we like data here so I will post my results in a few days to let you know how these 4 PowerEx2700 turn out.
