Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
Last Friday found me visiting a Canadian Tire in Lethbridge, Alberta, which is a City I only go to 2 or 3 times a year. Of course I took a look at the flashlights and spotlights while I was there.... Anyway to make a long story short, they had this Sunforce 15-MCP spotlight marked down from $70.00 to $15.00 and of course I bought it. I have never seen it at the local Canadian Tire and it is not on their website either. I did flick the switch on in the store to make sure it didn't have a dead battery, and it lit up, so home with me it came...
After reading several posts on this forum, I have come to the conclusion that this spotlight is the same in outside appearance as the one called a Thor Cyclops, it has the same 2 switches for hi/low and huge reflector on it. However it has 2-batteries inside the battery compartment, and the bulb has a black tip. I say all this because I believe it to be the same light as the Thor, which many people on here may own and be familiar with.
My question relates to the charge circuit. The instruction manual which was obviously translated from chinese did a very poor job of describing the charging of this light. It only says that the red light will "glow" when it is charging. However, when I plug mine into the wall, the red light blinks constantly. I have had it charging for a good solid 24 hours now and it has not stopped blinking. So to those with either the Sunforce, or what I believe to be the exact same Thor light, is this normal, or does it indicate a bad charger, battery, etc....
Thank you for reading my long winded post.
