Questions about the (new) Wuben X2 Pro (you need to have it to answer)

Straight to the point:

1: Is there ANY way to remove the magnet from the tail cap?
2: Does the unit modulate at all, in any mode, with any of the emitters? (PWM)
3: The mode selector is tiny and, reportedly, the dial is rather stiff (which is a good thing). Can the unit be operated normally while wearing warm gloves? (something basic, not very thick)
4: If you have the UV version, is the output really that low? I need to decide between it and the RGB model. *I need a UV flashlight for searching for scorpions around my campsite when I'm out in the desert. My current solution is a dedicated Convoy unit. It works great but I'm always looking to cut down on bulk and weight. If this Wuben's UV LED is good only for testing cash money, I will have to go with the RGB model.

Thanks!

1. The battery contacts in the tail are held on by 4 very small screws. Possibly the magnet could be removed. (I'm not trying it.)
2. I don't notice any modulation.
3. You could probably turn it on and off with heavy gloves. Not likely that you could rotate the wheel to adjust the brightness, or switch from lockout to side or front light.
4. I have the RGB version. I cannot comment on the uv.

Many thanks!
I will probably pull the trigger on the RGB model myself; not much can be expected from such a small UV emitter anyway. *I've decided to do something else entirely about my black light needs.

Have you (or anyone else) noticed any issues with the production model? For example: annoyances with mode/output selection, etc. (I know that some people aren't entirely happy with the tactical switch. I don't need it, so, I don't care)

Tactical switch would only power on and off the front light. I don't know if that's how it's supposed to work or not. I would likely never have it installed anyway.
Everything works fine.

Some things that could have been better:
The brightness dial should have had more travel. It's much too fast of a "ramp" from dim to bright.
The up down swivel of the side light, I would have preferred more travel in the down direction to have more light at your feet while clipped to a shirt pocket.
A high CRI option would have been nice as well as a moonlight low.
The magnet is weak when trying to position it horizontally. Vertically it holds fine.

It's a very nice light, and I have no regrets in buying it.

Thank you for your input, again. The side light is more of a "bonus", the way I'll be using this product. But I'll probably end up using the red light every now and then. Having a strong UV emitter instead would have been much preferable for me. Oh, well.
For trekking in the dark (which happens sometimes) I have a proper headlamp, and if it's a familiar route I almost always have just the red light on. *It's got plenty of tilt.

Since the X2 Pro will be my primary, all-around light for the outdoors AND a/the headlight for my 2 bikes, the magnet is useless to me. And when the unit is mounted on the handlebar, it's actually a hindrance. The phone and/or the GPS are also there, right next to the magnet. And when the light is in the backpack, it could (and eventually will) end up right next to a compass, which I always have at least a couple of in there. In my situation magnets are bad news. I'm relieved to hear that the one in the X2 isn't very strong. I will make an effort to remove it, regardless.

IMO, a magnet in any flashlight should be an option. And it often is.
