Does anyone used these and any info on these?

I picked up a set from Fry's Electronic store. They were 11.99 for 4 AA 2000 mAh. They claims to have LSD to 80 % storage in a year!

Are these enelope type? It has made in japan printed on it.

Thx!

Noob.

I've read they are rebadged Eneloops.
Why do you need this info so quickly? :p
:sssh: Really?

I just bought that pack. But I like to start collecting the same type of batteries and if they are enelopes, than I'm golden! Proly ends up getting about 5 packs of AA and 3 packs of AAA cells to be used and cameras and flashlights. Please post if you've the links for any info/testing and such.

Thanks again for quick response!

As for needing this quickly, its the problem with my pc. It keeps re-booting itself. Looking into it now. Starting to look as the mobo may be the cause. I'm replacing DDR sticks and see if that helps. I may even have to re-install the xp. So looking like I may not be able to log on to the CPF for a while!!:shakehead:shakehead

Regards.

A constantly rebooting computer is usually a sign of either poor cooling or a failing power supply.

The heatsink goop might have hardened. Remove the heatsink, carefully scrape off the remaining goop (you'll need alcohol and cotton stick so remove it if it's hardened), reapply fresh goop (not a lot of it! A small quantity is sufficient), put everything back together.

If that doesn't help, try another power supply.

It could also be failing capacitors. A visual inspection for leaking / bulging capacitors may be useful.

First of all, let me thank to those who posted replies! THANKS!

RE: rebadged enelopes, = good.

They are labeled made in japan. Can I assume they may be Sanyo?

OT: RE: rebooting stupid PC.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I've replaced the PC's DDR sticks and they seem to have not help the situation at all.
Good suggestions on power supply and MOBO's capicitors. I'll check into these next.
As for poor cooling /and-or cpu's thermal paste, I will need to go to the store and get some before I can do that.

Again, thanks for the help and I'll keep you all up-to-date on this.

I'll have to stop by at the costco too to pick up the enelope set. Who know of the top of their head what the 4 channel charger looks like other than opening the package and looking at the model number?

Rebadged would indicate an actual Eneloop cell with a different wrapper.

In this case, the wrapper would identify the cell as a Sony CycleEnergy Blue.

However, even if made by Sony with Eneloop technology, it should still be as good.

I can't see Sony taking any shortcuts or risks in their manufacturing processes after their recent laptop and mobile phone battery recall debacle.

Follow this hyperlink for a thread started by AdamThirnis which provides additional details about the cell:

Follow this hyperlink for an animated image of the preferred model, the MQN05, it's situated on the bottom right of the page:

The cover is usually inserted behind the charger for shipping though, so I would just look for a single LED below the battery slots.

Two LEDs would be indicative of the less desirable model, the MQN06.

I also don't believe it has the sliding cover.

More OT: I have seen errant video drivers cause a reboot. You could try rebooting to Safe Mode and just see if it runs (even though you won't be able to do much). If it does run OK in SM, then I would start looking seriously at drivers (video and otherwise). FWIW.
