Which of these would be best suited for inspection type work? I'm a supervisor for a manufacturing plant and I'm always in machinery or reading panels. I carry my s1 baton most of the time but the bright white sometimes causes problems. I am looking at close up and sometimes over head steam lines

I find XPL HI 5000K or 4000K are best to look at for a long time. Very easy on the eyes.

Hi. Can You post some pictures of the 219c and XPl and XPg2? 🙂

Sounds like you like this better than the EC11 as a platform for modding?

My problem is that I already have a super-compact 18350 beast with much better output--an SL2C with a triple!

And the built-in USB on this one does not tempt me much--I'd rather charge my batteries elsewhere, and swap fresh ones in when I need them.

Still, it is a very good-looking package. Amazing that they got a clicky in there, and under 3" long.

ETA--one way in which it is *clearly* preferable to the EC-11 is the run-time on low levels. The EC-11 has ridiculously inefficient low-level run-times--1 lumen on an 18350 and you only get 12 hours?? The EC-R16 gives 100 hours at 5 lumens, which is far better efficiency.

Driver swap? UI is opposite of what I prefer. Seems it starts on turbo.

I was looking at the stock version as well, the factory UI just kills it for me, starting on turbo then going lower. It does have mode memory but I prefer starting low going to higher modes.

Best Small light ever. Take IMR18350 is a huge plus for me. USB charging, great throw and ultra bright deals the deal.

My problem is that I already have a super-compact 18350 beast with much better output--an SL2C with a triple! True. Sold so many SL2c with very little problems. Proven platform and everyone loves it from what I know. But its CRAZY more expensive though. Its also bigger, not as good build quality and no USB charging...It does have relatively excelletn heat sinkign especailly when I direct solder bond the Noctigon MBPCB to the Brass shell now. Its like one unibody light engine now. Cant beat that in terms of heat sinking. This is superior to any thermal adhesive.

And the built-in USB on this one does not tempt me much--I'd rather charge my batteries elsewhere, and swap fresh ones in when I need them. Its good as a gift though. You don't have to give people a charger. Just before you inform them of my modded light policy so they are informed.

Still, it is a very good-looking package. Amazing that they got a clicky in there, and under 3" long. There is no clicky. It's a momentary side E-switch.

Yeah I was very interested and almost pulled the trigger until I saw that. Even with mode memory I could see myself blinding everyone around me working in an aluminum panel box

Great EDC . I have one and carry it daily I use the18350 in it .

My mistake about the clicky. Right: no rear switch, but an electronic switch on the head.

Tixx, I'm sure it will stay on after you click it, and cycle through different settings, and so on.

But it's not a mechanical clicky which has two different physical states. It sends pulses of current to the circuit board which interprets them as instructions, so it's a momentary switch in that sense.

Post Number 2 is too funny. I posted "I hope you offer a dedome version" or something like that. Then I came back to see if the answer was "yes". But Vinh edited my post and added pictures! LOL How bizarre. 😱

Gotcha, like the Olight S1.

Post 2 is always reserved for photos 🙂

Tempted to try one of these but my Qmini123s are still going strong & are so small & light enough to clip to mesh cap 🙂

Been playing with this light a lot since...I have to say. I love it. Makes a perfect EDC, WOW, Gift light...
