R50vn - Best 26650 Light

Candle Power Flashlight Forum

Help Support CPF:

This is such a great all purpose light. Took a walk with a bunch of lights tonight: PK PR1, c22cvn, r50vn, ssvnT, k60vn, rc40vnF, p60vn quad. The r50 vn and p60 quad were most useful for navigating dark streets without blinding and nice spill lighting up path and allowing for peripheral vision to see what's in the bushes.
You must have some big pockets on those pants:) love the evening line-up:)

If it helps the light fund, why not.....:broke:

Very true, I'd try selling myself but I doubt that would even cover the engraving... :mecry:

I've also got an addiction to certain Japanese manufacturer of blue power tools that needs feeding!

I have a stock EC50 gen 2 on the way so I don't really need this light, why does 'want' always seem to override 'need'?? :naughty:

I find myself picking up this light to carry at night when out for short errands, like last night picking up kids from activities in parking lot, I shined up the side of building to third fourth floors. Very bright, great run times (haven't seen low battery indicator yet) and very decent heat management

It definitely has that go to feel about it, the light you grab as you leave the door kind............love it.

Has anyone noticed a fogged up lens on this light when it starts to get warm/hot (about a minute and thirty seconds on turbo)? Mine gets a small fogged area about the size of a dime. I have tried to put silicone packs in batt tube and in a bag of rice.

No not noticed, have on the odd other light but tend to go after some uses. Think it depends if the head is sealed or not(think), of course air tight when together, but when body is opened moisture might be able to get in that way.............no proof, just a thought..
Give it a good few runs on higher outputs for a while, should dry out inside(so to speak) with the heat after a bit. Top of my head, Q70 had it to think of one light............does not do it any more, no silica packs etc used.

Very cool yeah I'll give it some use. it will prob go away over time not a real big deal though as I won't let it get real hot under normal use. Thanks bud

I just run 2 min turbo on my r50vn. I didnt see any fog or liquid....

This is strange. I was just reading a thread about a Zebralight with the same problem. I thought it must be a really rare problem but someone posted links to other threads, all different lights/manufacturers, all having condensation issues (under the lens). I don't understand how this can happen with so many lights. Aren't they all supposed to be "waterproof" to IPX8? How is water getting in, or mist/fog/humidity? Very strange. I hope it goes away and that your light is ok.
