Indeed, I have the same one, it's the one I like best for its nice tint and great color rendition. I even got a Twisty 19760 with the same emitter...

As of 1 hour and 45 minutes ago I too can say the same! 🙂

I've have order another High CRI Clicky. The one I already have will have a diffuser on with settings more useful for use for reading and indoor use where color definition is required (for example when as a diabetic I am testing my blood sugars the High CRI makes it easy to see if I test in the middle of the night if there is enough blood from the lancet prick to saturate the test strip and trigger the machine to make a reading).

The other High CRI Clicky will be solely for outdoor use along with the High CRI Twisty as a back up. I can't also resist mentioning that I ordered the last 140 CR123 Twisty available at Ledfiretorches.co.uk The battery tube will provide a useful alternate battery format for the High CRI Twisty. I prefer the 140 Twisty in 19670 form anyway.

Ooo when did you order the Twisty 140, I got one about a month ago from them, should be getting it back really soon from getting an XP-G swap

abarth_1200,

I ordered it personally from Rob about mid-morning earlier today. That's when he told me it was the last one he had. I told him that I was glad I had timed it so well. Something inside has been telling me to get one for the last week. I'm glad I acted on that feeling.

I'm waiting to see what is coming out. It's almost September.

I've been hanging onto my money to see what Henry is going to release next, but after seeing those beamshots, I gotta get a 170T to go with my 140, 100CRI and 85tr ... they're all great lights, but none of them have the throw that I see in those photos. thanks for posting them!

Just a quick "tip of the hat" to Henry. I just received my 170exec from Thor's Custom Leather and I found it to be an extremely well built light. Granted, I'm not overly thrilled about the yellow halo around the hot spot of the beam, but I'm happy to live with it considering the rest of the light. I do feel that Henry should get around to re-writing the manual/ cheat card..... I'm generally pretty quick to pick up on new electronics with quirky command structures, but even with the manual in hand... I got lost and frustrated. Of course, I can't leave well enough alone and figured out where I was going wrong, but still... the instructions could use some additional work.

Now I get to sit back and wait for my High CRI.... and personally, I hope the next light from HDS is simply a higher output CRI version rather than just going for max lumens.

The new bezel down clip works fine for me... I don't understand how someone could find the ring portion uncomfortable.... yes, it protrudes and it has corners, but it's not uncomfortable in the least.... my peeve would be that the nose of the clip could use a little bit more *nose* to allow the clip to ride over pocket edges without my having to wedge it open with my finger.... I can just shove my D10 lights with their clips into my pocket without thinking, the HDS makes me spring the clip open slightly to slide over the edge of my uniform pocket. Otherwise, I find it just fine.

Regards

Christian

just ordered my first light! I got myself a 170T. I cant wait for it to arrive!

My dream HDS has no inscription on the bezel and no screw holes... and a slightly more powerfull high CRI emitter! 😀[/QUOTE]

Bonjour Henk Lu , thanks for the information :twothumbs.
Great lights, really.

I do agree with you on the screw issue.
I EDC those torches with double constrictor knotted paracord + 2 cord lock balls + GITD closure.
Protuding screws are in place just to prevent dust accumulation. A 5 star solution would consist in optional "headless" blackened screws with no unwanted protusion. Just two more tiny screws to attain to perfection...

I am with you.

I am also waiting on the R17670 bodies to come in. I have 2 High CRI lights on order; a Twisty with the R19670 and another high CRI EDC with the R17670 body. I emailed Henry last week and he was hoping the R17670 bodies would be in the beginning on this week. :twothumbs

I wonder, now that Henry doesn't sell the old bezel up/down clips that screw in, will future bodies not have the screw holes anymore?

I hope not. There are really nice after market clips that screw in that I love. The stock clips just dont compliment the light that well and look pretty cheap.

CRAAAAAAAAP!!!!!

I think I just killed my Ti Ra Clicky 10017. 🙁

I Received my wvaltakis clip today and wanted to reprogram it before putting the clip on. As directed I turned the light on, then unscrewed the battery compartment and put the battery tube and head back together. Rather than the dim reset indicator I got a couple flashes and nothing. The light wouldn't turn on. Opened it back up and took the battery out and it was super hot. Ok, maybe there was a problem with the battery. It was in there from the previous owner, maybe it just didn't have the juice to run the light anymore, I don't know. Waited over a minute and put in a fresh BS primary. Put light together, I think it flashed, and then nothing. Opened it up and again the battery came out screaming hot. At this point I know something is definitely wrong.

I will have to call Henry most likely. Crap. What happened to my light?

That sucks big time, but if I were a betting man my money would be on Henry taking care of it for you in quick order. Some kind of electronic short going on evidently. 🙁

Sorry Pete. I'm not doing such a good job caring for this little gem so far, hey? :shakehead

Ouch, im sure Henry will take of it.

Is there anything jammed inside, maybe the switch contact that runs up inside the body is bent and shorting on the positive spring when you screw the head on.

Nope nothing that is plainly out of sorts. It was working just before I put it back together and it went haywire.

nbp, very sorry to hear about your Ti Clicky, but do not despair. I believe a similar problem has happened before. I think it was an insulation problem that was specific to a Ti clicky, causing an internal short just the same as in yours, and that Henry fixed it. I suggest you call him, and I'm sure he will deal with it.

Thanks DM51. I guess in a way that's good news in that at least I probably didn't wreck it, and hopefully Henry knows what's going on. I will certainly call him.

What's the chance of you being able to carry another one of your Ra Team while it goes to the hospital? 😀

Good thing I have three more Ras. I knew there was a reason I should buy more. Now I know I need a backup of each...so who wants to sell me another Ti clicky for cheap?

And to think I just recently got my twisty back. I'm starting to think some envious flashlight troll has released some chip weevils or something onto my light shelf. :scowl:
