Radio shack has these at half price ( 9.99 for a package of four ]
Has any one tested or tried them? How do they compare to Eneloop ? They claim 80% of capacity for a year if not used

I saw those the other day and was amazed that they are trying to charge $19.99 for a apck of 4.
I haven't use those but I can tell you way back when I went in and paid something like $12 for two 1200mAh and then found that 1600mAh were the standard and could be bought for $2 per cell so radio shack was charging three times the price for less mAh. Also both those radio shack's started leaking a year or so ago so I tossed them and I still have Sanyo 1650mAH calls from 2001 which are testing out at 1000-1300mAh so it seems radio shack is charging too much for sub standard cells.

This is my take -
it seems that for LSDs the eneloops are the standard that everyone else is compared to -

so to be on the safe side just buy eneloops.

Unless the batteries are significantly lower priced than eneloops -
however the main advantage of eneloops is that they have been out for some time now, and they are the most well known - so although they still aren't that common in the high street stores, they can be found for VERY good prices - eg: the CostCo eneloop charger pack 8x AA, 4x AAA, charger and D & C adaptors all for about $26 (on sale briefly for $21!). CircuitCity had them at $15 for 8x AA then closeout for $13/8 - I don't think there were any LSDs that were cheaper - legally.

An alternate brand that has had good reports (all LSDs basically have had good reports - so far) are the Kodak Pre-Charged @ $7.88/4 at any local WalMart.
