Rechargables

I have a notebook and it has about 1.5 hours runtime.

Is it possible to use a big external rechargable battery like a SLA or NiMh, etc(more than 2600mAh since that's what the laptop batt is).

The battery pack is rated as 10.8V and 2600mAh. The label on the power adapter says output is 16V and 3.36A, there's also a funny symbol between the 16V and 3.36A that looks like a horizontal line and a dashed line under it?

Also does anyone know which ones are the power pins for the USB port, I'm consider making a USB led light to shine on the keyboard. No doubt someone has already done that.

P.S. I mean I could just go and get
this but I'd personally rather spend the money on some torches.... err I mean flashlights... you know what I mean.

Although it's put in respect to computer stuffs, I think that you are "On Topic" with this one.
(It's still TORCH!-related.)

If I move it over to the "Batteries Included" forum, those clever chaps will know what all this "horizontal line/dashed line" stuff means.

USB powered LED lights sounds interesting too ......
