What all Li-ion battery sizes would be equal in length and diameter to to primary cr123a cells? I am looking for one rechargeable cell to replace the two primaries. I know a 18650 is equal in length, but fatter. I heard that a 17670 is the same. Are there any others? I am trying to get around having my surefire 6p body bored out. I will get the appropiate drop in with the right voltage after the battery issue is figured out. Any help is appreciated.

First choice: Malkoff M30 w/ a single 18650 or 17670. 240 lumens, 1.5 hrs or so.

Good thinking on going single-cell, imo.
Others know more, just my quick suggestion.

AIUI, a CR123A is a 16340 dimension-wise (16 mm dia x 34 mm long). The other cells like 17670 and 18650 are theoretically a bit fatter. But since all these dimensions are nominal, whether a cell fits or not depends on the actual inside dimensions of your light. That's where you need someone to tell you specifically what fits in a 6P body. I can't tell you myself since I make a point of avoiding expensive lights that take CR123A cells... :p

Excellent recommendation! If incandescent is your cup of tea you could use the same 17670 in a 6p with a Lumens Factory HO-4.Works great.
