Hi, im new to this forum so please be gentle on me.

I have a MkV Eveready 6V Rechargeable Dolphin that i purchased here in New Zealand a few years ago and playing around trying to install an LED bulb i had for a Maglite i managed to damage the charge/light circuit and when you switch it on there is no light output, the charge circuit still works ok.

does anyone by chance have and circuit diagrams for this unit so i can get it back to standard so i can chuck it in my emergency kit?

It has a 6V 4.5Ah SLA Battery and you unscrew the reflector to gain access to the socket to charge the unit via either the supplied 6V plug pack or a supplied 12v car cig lighter cable.

cheers.

Are you sure it's not just a blown bulb?

I would have thought that for lightng there was no circuitry, other than the switch itself; I would expect it to be a direct battery conection.

Thanks i'd appreciate any advice you can offer.

The circuit is smart enough to allow you to use either a 6v or 12v supply to charge the battery and also has a low voltage cut off during normal torch opperation to protect the battery from being drained too low.

I guess i could remove each transistor and atempt to test them one by one untill i find the faulty one then find a replacment... no idea how... i think i need google ...
