Greetings folks,
I would really enjoy and use any credible advice on fitment and safe, practical use of rechargeable, Li-Ion, batteries in my new, SURE FIRE L1, 6P, 9P, L2 and U2 flashlights. Can you help me with suggestions, experiences and problems to be aware of?
Thanks so much.
Truly,
Spence

Spence,

These: http://batteryjunction.com/rc390reliba.html will fit & work safely in every light you mentioned. They are protected cells. The only drawback is shorter runtime. Other li-ion cells, 17670, 18650, etc may or may not fit. Some have reported these single cells to fit & others say they did not fit.

I've been using rechargeable lithiums since I got serious. The lights that I currently own are tools and are used extensively in my work. In fact my main requirement for a light must be able to use rechargeables as it is very costly in the long run. Having said that, you must understand that lithiums are rated at 3.7v whereas primaries at 3.0v so there will be some compatibility issues that needs to be address prior to you acquiring them for your lights listed above.
Do a search on cpf and you can find alot of information on the lisghts you have listed....all the best
