Recommend a C or D cell LED flashlight

Can anyone recommend a high quality C or D cell LED flashlight with a large reflector, high brightness and super long run time?

That might be the obvious choice, but the Maglite uses an old luxeon star which gets dimmer as it warms up due to poor heat dissipation and the reflector is not optimised for LED output.

How about getting a incan 2 or 3 cell Mag and installing
either a Malkoff or a KD LED dropin.
The Malkoff is more expensive but the beam is warmer
While the KD is cheaper and the beam cooler
I have both and cant decide which I like the most

I'm not sure what choices you have in the UK. I've heard Maglites are expensive there.

The only problem is that I don't think they have a Lowe's in the UK.

Maybe you can get someone in the US to buy one and ship it to you?
