I also noticed Coast light has separate white and red buttons, could be useful.
Question to OP, would more than one red brightness level be useful? I agree with other comment, red light
outdoors e.g. in the woods is not great for navigating. As for not wanting red headlamp (or bicycle rear light),
got it, just threw in those suggestions as there are lots of cheap options.
BTW the 3AAA multi-5mm ("showerhead") light linked earlier may work but appears overpriced...almost dollar-store
by the look of it except with red LEDs which are probably cheaper than white. Specialty item and price gets jacked up.
