Hi everyone,

Well, I got one LED flashlight for my car, and now I'm jonesing to have one to carry with me... looking for suggestions.

Here are my main criteria:

- UI similar to my Fenix PD32UE (I like the momentary on, I like that it remembers the level)
- Something a little smaller than the PD32UE - something light and small that can fit in my briefcase
- Price point: under $50.
- Smooth bezel preferred, but not mandatory.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Check out the Klarus P1A (AA) or P1C (CR123). I have the AA model and it has a momentary click switch, and only two modes which are selected by turning the head. Very no nonsense light. They can be had for under $40.

If you could check out a PD32: the RRP for XP-G2 R5 is higher than $50 but if you are lucky you might still find some older XP-G R5 or S2 for 50 or even less.

If you want something more budget, you could get a Nitecore MT2C or MT1A: you can get them for less than $40 if you look around. The UI is different but with the head loosened it remembers the last mode used. Flashing modes are not hidden though.

I have the Klarus P1A and can say its a pretty good "cheap end" light from a well known brand.
As said single AA fed,2 modes, turn head for low, tight for high and momentary forward clicky.

I paid £16 so maybe $22ish(obv depending on where bought will vary) and comes with an OK clip and O rings/wrist lanyard thats a little on the small side but it wont fall off.........

Cheap, does job,led is not perfectly centred but does not effect beam.........

Overall i have been using it for the last 2 days of work, just easy, button is a tad stiff compared to my t7.2(1 of my few other work flashlights)but no deal breaker in anyway, soon adj to it.

Fits in pocket too if required, easy to store in small compartment in car.

One more note on the P1A, it can run on 14500 which increases the output significantly.

+ another note...........i did not know that  however my AAs are free for me,and personally dont require too many lumens, but great to know, thanks;) as you never know if it comes out of work.........

Be sure to look at Aahyes68's comparison pic in this thread. I never realized just how much smaller their e35 is.

You may want to check the Quarks QPA or QTA models of Foursevens. They're bodies are compact for the battery that they are using. Good luck!!

I just ordered a thrunite archer 1a for $26 bucks off there website. You can't beat that deal for an EDC AA anywhere.
