I have some disassembled prefab polyurethane foam panels with embedded steel connector mechanisms that I want protected from the elements (i.e. humidity) for a few years. They will be covered but stored outside.

(protecting the metal connector mechanisms from corrosion)

Am thinking along the lines of CRC SP-350 (wet film)
https://www.grainger.com/product/CRC-Corrosion-Inhibitor-3EEC2

or CRC SP-400 (dry film)
https://www.grainger.com/product/2F...ucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:4P7A1P:20501231

To me, the heavy (waxy) dry film of the SP-400 would be good to keep the connectors maximally protected but also clean yes ?
Wondering if I am missing anything, or perhaps a better product could be recommended ?
Application needs to be by aerosol can.

Thank you,

The CRC products are good (note the MIL spec ratings)

Also, if permissible in your specific case, a good quality cold galvanizing paint is excellent too, but more "permanent" than the waxy stuff.

I'd offer fluid film has worked VERY well for my corrosion protection needs. Depending on the environment it can be prone to dirt, though.
