???red led where to get them???

I have dropped a few of the 2200mcd, 5mm red leds from radio shack in a few mini mags, and they get snatched up right away at work.(about 12 days of red light, did nothing else but drop them in) But I think the leds are really crappy. Is there a site that sells a 5600mcd-10000mcd, between 30deg-60deg view, that will run on the two bats with no upgrade. I found some on a few diferent sites that are between that mcd, but the view angle is only 8deg. Thanks for any help

Not sure about the 30 deg. output, but Hosfelt Electronics sells 2 different 8000mcd pure red 5mm ones-#s 25-405 & 25-359, as well as orange-red 9000mcd. www.hosfelt.com
