How do I remove the old pill Deerlight DBS V2 3SM pill from the reflector?

should I use a large wrench to unscrew the pill ?

how does it work. I am afraid of creating damage to the reflector itself.

Just hold the reflector firmly in one hand & rotate the pill counter-clockwise with your other fingers, the pills are not screwed in very tight

Yeah, these guys were just MADE for switching pills out. The version 3's were screwed in a little deeper, but even those are a dream to swap pills in and out. If you do end up unscrewing the reflector, make sure you take a look at the lens and the oring, as the reflector is what puts pressure on that seal. If it worked its way out, you might have to gently screw the reflector back in as you put slight pressure on the oring to seat back into the crevice.

It's as easy as changing a light bulb. Just turn it out. Just be careful not to bang the LED against the reflector as you remove it.
