Replacement tube for GE Fluorescent from Costco

Has anyone found replacement tube assemblies for the GE 4D fluorescent lantern from Costco? I opened my light up and the tube / ballast assmelby has a part number Y056 on it, it's 4W, 6V. I haven't been able to find one locally. Any idea where I can get one? John

I've seen them at Ace Hardware stores. They even sell them under their own brand name.

Did they carry the tube / ballast assembly individually or did you see the whole light there? John

If I remember correctly, they just had the replacement tubes. You may have to try more than one Ace because they all seem to carry different items.

I was looking for something that was supposed to be carried at Ace before and they didn't have the item. The clerk said that each store is privately owned and it basically is totally up to the store as to what they are going to carry.

That is correct LR and why I said to check different stores. Owners of different Ace stores choose to carry different items. Most stores however keep the entire ACE catalog on computer or micro fiche and will be glad to order anything that's available for you.
