Hi,
searching for body diameter of old T3 (the one with the optic, 2 CR123s, silver front ring)
I am not able to find any measurements online,
at Flashlightreviews all three old Inovas seem to have the same diameter:
http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/inova_t.htm

(the new model has only 0.89" and this will not be enough for widening the body for 18650s)

Hi Yellow,

On my original T3, body diameter on the knurled section runs between 0.79"
and 0.81", using a dial micrometer, with the larger diameter being just below the head. With a true 18mm diameter cell plus some "slop" for installation, your wall
thickness could be rather thin, especially given the knurling.

Good luck on your mod!

Edit: 6 July 2007

I managed to misread my dial caliper last night - the actual body OD of my original T3 ranges from 0.979" to 0.981", with the larger measurement again toward the head. You might have enough "meat" on an original T3 to bore it out to fit the 18650.

Thnx for the edit,
I tried to get some measurements from the pic at flashlightreviews, where all the bodys seem similar
but with Your 1st post was pretty unsure on the modding possibilites.

Now everything is clear: body of old T1, T2 and T3 should be the same
(if only T2 and T3 were shorter) ;)
