In my opinion, Fenix blew it big time on this light by not including a forward clickie on/off tailcap switch. This would have allowed tactical use of the light from any setting. For tactical use, the light has to come on at the brightness you want the first time, every time. They took what would have been a useful feature usually only seen in a Surefire light (Surefire U2), and turned it into a useless expensive gimmick with no practical use.

One Man's opinion, that others may not share.

Personally I'm trying to find an on/off tailcap switch for my PD40R, so I can more easily use it as a "headlight" on my Go-Go scooter. Hoping the Malkoff will work.
