Hello everyone ... Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the Olight Javelot Pro : tactical shooting torch with 2100 lumens per Turbo and powered by two integrated 18650 3500mAh cells. Here the link of the company and here the link of the product in question. The Javelot Pro is available for purchase on Amazon store: here

Output and Runtime levels
The Olight Javelot Pro has 4 normal brightness levels divided as follows:

Turbo: 2100-1000 lm declared(measured 2180-1050 lm) – 10+130min
High: 600 lm declared(measured 605 lm) – 5h
Medium: 150 lm declared(measured 140 lm) -23h
Low: 15 lm declared(measured 15 lm) - 8d

The measured data are to be considered as peak and all have proved to be consistent with what was declared by the manufacturer.
Below are the runtime tests on the "Turbo" and "High" levels using the supplied battery pack as the power source.

User interface
The Javelot Pro has two switches, one in the queue and one in the side, for managing the user interface. The latter is simple, intuitive and easy to remember.

Low Constant Mode
Press the tail switch halfway to enter Low mode (15 lumens).

Low Momentary Mode
Press halfway and hold the queue switch to enter Low Momentary mode. Release the switch to turn off the torch.

Constant Turbo Mode
Quickly press the tail switch all the way down to enter Turbo mode (2100 lumens).

Turbo Momentary Mode
Fully press and hold the queue switch to enter momentary turbo mode. Release the switch to turn off the torch.

Side Switch Functions
Press and hold the side switch to turn the torch on or off. If the torch is switched off with the side switch, the output level will be memorized.

When the torch is on, the various brightness levels are switched by clicking on the side switch. If you are in Turbo mode, a click on the switch will bring the output to the Low level.

Tail Switch Functions
The magnetic button can be connected to the tail switch via the magnetic charging port.
A simple click on the switch in the queue allows you to turn the flashlight on and off. Press and hold the switch for the various momentary modes (Low and Turbo)

State of Charge
The led under the side switch allows to know the amount of remaining charge of the battery pack by illuminating different colors:
• Green: charge between 100% and 75%
• Orange: charge between 75% and 30%
• Solid red: charge between 30% and 10%
• Flashing red: charge less than 10%.

The body and the materials
The Javelot Pro is a linear shooting torch with a slender body and a broad head. Under its large and deep dish we find the small and powerful XHP35 HI (decupulated) in Neutral White version, able to release 2100 lumens with 291600cd and 1080m shooting at the Turbo.

The design is attractive but at the same time elegant. The deep millings present on the entire central body guarantee excellent grip in all conditions.

In hand, the torch holds well and despite the length it is comfortable and well balanced.

The Javelot Pro is essentially divisible into three parts: head, body (which also acts as a battery pack) and tailcap.

On the head there are purely aesthetic vertical millings and a series of dissipation fins at the switch.

The bezel is electric blue in color and recalls the color of the side switch bezel ring, can be easily unscrewed and protects the lens very well.

The optical part is composed of a deep mirror-polished aluminum reflector, a quality lens with tempered glass and anti-scratch and anti-reflective treatment and, as previously mentioned, a well centered CREE XHP35 HI LED thanks to a white centraled.

The lettering is precise and present in the head with the name of the torch, the serial number, the Olight logo and the CE logo. Anodizing is perfect smooth to the touch and slightly opaque.

The electronic side switch is rubber, slightly protruding and equipped with a small colored status LED inside. The grip is excellent as is the reactivity to pressure.

At the end we have instead an electronic electronic switch that allows to interact with the interface and allows to activate the Momentary On on Low and Turbo levels. Thanks to the supplied charger it is possible to charge the battery pack right through this switch.

The tail is flat so it is possible to use the torch in tailstanding. Furthermore, there is a magnet that facilitates the hooking of the charging cable.

Olight%20Javelot%20PRO%20(62).jpg

The threads of the central body are anodized only on the side of the tailcap, therefore the physical lockout of the interface is allowed. They are particularly smooth and arrive really well greased. An O-ring is placed near the threads to guarantee absolute impermeability: Olight declares water resistance according to the IPX8 standard.

In the package we also find a beautiful rigid Nylon holster. Obviously the torch can be inserted only with the head upwards.

Fascio, Tinta and Beamshots
The beam of the Javelot Pro is devoted to shooting with its 291600cd and a theoretical throw of 1080 meters. Tested in the field I could appreciate how it manages to light well at 200mt-300mt away. The beam is very directive and obviously has a very bright spot. There is also a not very bright spill but still useful to see well in the immediate vicinity.

The color is excellent, Neutral, warm and uniform over the whole beam. At low levels it turns to yellow. The color rendering is excellent.

Final considerations
Javelot Pro is a very high quality product with interesting features. With attention to the smallest details, you immediately feel the sensation of absolute robustness. The grip is excellent in any condition of use.

Aesthetically beautiful, it has an elegant but at the same time aggressive design thanks to the deep grooving present all over the body.

The soft switch in double-tail queue is well made, simple to activate and very responsive. Convenient integrated charging system incorporated directly on the switch.

The side switch is in an easy position to reach when holding the torch, it offers excellent grip, it is reactive and inside it has a status LED to display the charge status of the cell.

The interface is very simple, there is direct access to the Turbo and to the Low level. There is a little lack of a Moon level and a special Stroboscopic level.

The adjustment as for all Olights is excellent, the driver is efficient and always tries to maintain a constant output. If the temperature rises too high, the brightness is automatically reduced to preserve the LED, the battery and the circuitry.

The beam is perfect, geometrically very clean, with a well defined spot that is very bright and a spill that can be used to illuminate the walking surface a couple of meters away. The neutral color is beautiful, uniform and tending to yellowish on low levels.

The packaging is really rich: battery pack, charger, holster, spare O-ring and a beautiful carrying case.

High quality product, definitely to recommend!

Thanks for reading...XD

I have the Olight M3XS-UT and I won't upgrade (I really mean downgrade) to this light for the same reason I have the Olight X7 and would not buy the X7R.

Two things I won't buy is a light that takes a proprietary battery (or battery pack) and a rechargeable light. I want my lights sealed and user replaceable cells.

Nice photo shoot though. A lot of pics, and thanks for the review.
