I received the Sofirn SC31 Pro from Sofirn for the review.
The SC31 is a 18650 powered flashlight, featuring a SST-40 emitter and the anduril UI, controlled by an electronic backlit switch and a USB-C port to charge the battery.
It is available with a Cool White tint (6000-6500K) and a Neutral White tint (5000-5300K).
I got the Cool White version.

The SC31 comes in this box.

The content of the box: SC31 Pro, a Sofirn 3000mAh 18650 battery, USB-C cable, manual, lanyard.

The SC31 Pro is a relatively compact 18650 light, measuring 117 mm in length and 25 mm in width, and weighting in at 62 g (the included battery is 48 grams).

The clip comes already mounted on the light and has good tension. It can’t be reversed.
There’s a light rhomboidal knurling on the body of the light and on the tailcap.

The threads are anodized for physical lockout and are square cut.

The tailcap is flat, allowing for tailstanding, and it has a hole for the lanyard.

The positive contact pole at the head is a golden spring, allowing compatibility for flat top and button top 18650 cells.

The electronic switch at the head is backlit, wide and flat, and I found it easily to find it in the dark.

On the other side of the head, opposite to the switch, there’s the USB-C port for charging the 18650 battery. The port is covered by a rubber cover that fits snugly on it.

The UI
The SC31 Pro features an Anduril UI, which is a very good UI in my opinion, but more on that at the end of the review.

While charging, the switch backlit is red, and turns green once the 18650 is full.
Note that the switch backlit will be on with a green color all the other times: when the light is on or off, no matter what the battery charge is.

My thoughts
The light is well built and finished.
As you get it out of the box, the SC31 Pro has the ANDURIL default settings: ramping, memory.
There’s a lot that can be said for the UI. Let’s start to say that it is customizable in a lot of aspects: ramping or set levels, number of set levels, thermal sensor, brightness of the lowest and highest (before turbo), memory/no memory, several flashing modes are available (battery indicator, fast strobe, bike flash, tactical strobe, beacon…) and some of them can be personalized in frequency… and more.
You can also electronically lock out the light, giving only access to momentary moonlight mode.
There’s also a simplified UI (the muggle mode) that reduces the max output to 240 lumens (I find it ideal to save battery in dire situations or just give it to someone that is not used to modern LED flashlights).
I like that it has direct access to last used mode (if the memory is activated), lowest and high mode.
It is commonly recommended to perform a calibration of the thermal sensor using the room temperature value when getting the light; and I advise you to do so as well.
I like that the light has a working voltage of 2.7-4.2 volts, so you don’t need to worry about over discharging the batteries when running the SC31 pro with unprotected batteries.
This will come defenetely handy if you plan to run the light with IMR unprotected batteries, a necessary option if you plan to exploit the full power coming from the direct drive level.

I'd like the Sofirn SC31 Pro came with a warmer neutral tint (around 4000K), and a sheath (but at this pricepoint, it's understandable)

A minor note, the clip can be reversed by flipping the battery tube end for end. Both sets of threads are identical and will accept head and tail interchangeably.
