You will not know this by looking at the reflector, but it is made of copper to aid in the dispersal of heat from the LED. Sunlite's main goal is to provide a safe product...and IMO, one of their next is to provide the best heat sinking possible in all of their products. This allows us to gain the maximum life out of the emitter. Do you know of any other LED manufacturer to achieve a thermal conductivity of 1'C/W?

Notice also...the holes in the LED head? Very unique...and unheard of in a penlight. It also makes for an interesting look when you head stand it.

One final picture of the Wide Ribbed hand grip section.

The next series of photos will show you some size comparisons in the hand.

You can see that the length of the light is just longer than the width of my hand. This makes holding the light very nice. One handed operation, thanks to the Forward clicky.

I am still impressed to this day how Sunlite manages to pack the emitter, driver, reflector, and lens into that small head! I can go from this 60 lumen/medium throw head, to the 65 lumen/pure flood head, to the 100 lumen/medium throw head just by changing the head.

To answer 276's question below....I can put on the standard Eagle head, the Eagle Turbo head, the 8w head, and the 16w head. Even the Utility head will fit. I'll show pictures of all of these in response to his post later...

My initial impressions are positive: This light is comfortable to hold, it utilizes a forward clicky, the pocket clip is smooth and will not snag on clothing. The clip can be removed and placed near the head for ball cap/head light illumination.

It has type III anodizing. You can get up to 20hrs of usable light out of 2xAAA batteries. And you have a whole host of LED heads to choose from if you have need of different colors of light:

White light: 4000K-7000K
Infra-Red: 940nm
Infra-Red: 850nm
Green: 525nm
Blue: 465nm
UV: 395nm
UV: 365nm

The only con I can see is the inability to tail-stand. There isn't much else to not like about this little penlight. Thanks for viewing!

Hey Ryan
do the other heads still fit on it.

Excellent job!! I've been thinking of getting one of those to check gun bores and now believe I will pull the trigger as it looks to be very nice quality!!

Hey Ryan do the holes in the head add any glare when working up close? apart from that it looks very nice :twothumbs Oh and whenS the FP80 review up ;) I see it's on sale now! :D

Good question Titan.....I hadn't considered that yet. The holes may add a small amount of glare if you hold the light pretty close to your face. But if you grip it 'dagger' style, your fist blocks any light coming from the holes.

The FP80 is the one I'm excited to review. It may well be the farthest throwing single die reflectored light known on CPF. 550 lumen, single 2mmx2mm chip, driven at 2a.....and 2hrs on Turbo!

I do not have one yet...but don't worry, it will up ASAP when I do...

Hey Ryan

Yes, they sure do.

With Sunlite products, you basically have 'Power Sources' and you have LED Heads. See below....

And all the heads are interchangeable....

Great flexibility.....

Any word on what sort of driver the 365 UV has?

Driver information is limited on Sunlite products, since they design and produce all their own parts...so they can make them application specific.

Here is the UV 365nm page. Says it has 2W input power and output is over 60mW.

Feel free to get on the UV section of their website forum and ask them any questions about their UV lights!

The Slim or Slim2 would be a great power source for their UV heads.
