As a former lurker, and now a professed flashaholic, i have enjoyed this forum a great deal.
However, i do not see any discussions regarding the right angle 'firefighter' style lights. I use a Pelican Stealth, Mags, and a hotrodded Dorcy Boss 4AA among others, but i need/want a good worklight in the right angle form factor. Any thoughts out there on lights such as Streamlight Survivor, K-B Responder, Pelican's Big ED?

TIA,
Russ R.

brightguy has a streamlight syclone on sale for $18.70. also check out brocks positive comments on this light.

I saw an Energizer 4AA flashlight in a DIY store today. The Bezel can rotate to right angle via a wheel you rotate with your thumb.

Seemed a bit big, but looked ok...

Streamlight Survivor is bright but has a narrow beam. Pelican's Big ED is more flood and would make a better work light. It has impressive specs (and $$$) but it is indeed big and has a 90 deg.locked angle.

In the same price range is the Streamlight Lightbox, which has a variable angle head and options for spot or flood and bulb wattage. Nice but heavy.

On the smaller side, I'm ordering two more Streamlight Syclones while they are on sale from BrightGuy (if that tells you anything). Do a site search here on Syclone to see the details. All the above are safety rated and sturdy.
