RiverRock Lantern

I know you can't buy them anymore at Target. But is the one from the LED shoppe the exact same?


Is there something out there that's brighter and better? The Osram seems ok.

Coleman has some very small cree powered lanterns that are more powerful than the RiverRock. Their downside is that in their original form they do have a lot of artifacts. If you do not mind lightly sanding the lens or otherwise lightly frosting it, you can improve the smoothness of the output. They come in both AA and 123A formats, and there is a full discussion in the Lantern Forum.
