Romisen RC-G4 mod question

After reading about light mods on this board, especially the RC-G2, I am wanting to try my own mod. My plan is to mod my RC-G4 (DX SKU#7418) using SKU#7612 and either the SKU#2394 Q5 or SKU#11022. If I understand how these things work, SKU#7612 will give three power modes without the strobe mode, has 1000ma output which I believe gets the most out of the Q5, and it will stay on the selected power mode unless I select another one? I am still not sure which Q5 emitter, #2394 or 11022, would be the best choice. My decision at this time would be based on which would fit better. Anyone see any problems with my plan?

I'm really not a fan of these UI's which switch groups on low mode, if you use low you find yourself switch groups and having to cycle through them to get back to where you want again and again.

I think http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=3256 is a better choice, no groups, 3 simple modes.

It is more money (still cheap) I guess as it uses 4x 7134 IC's over DX's 3x but it supposedly drives at 1.2a
