I am looking for a powered, remote controlled, spotlight somewhere between a GoLight and a Night-Sun. Anybody know if anything like this exists? It will be mounted to a pickup and used to spotlight wild boars out to about a half mile. The brighter the better.

Thanks

Might look at some marine options, I've seen some pretty intense looking setups on yatchs at various harbors (I don't own one, but it would be nice!).

I'm actually building one of those for someone's boat right now. I'm using Bridgelux C2000 at about 3,000 lumens and using the base from a cheap remote spotlight from the Bass Pro Shop. I haven't got it together yet, but I'll let you know when I get something good.

Why does the word "jacklighting" come to mind?

Way to make an already unfair fight even less fair. I suppose that's why many states have laws against jacklighting.

Unless you're not actually shooting them, or using it to allow others to shoot them. In that case, carry on.

Wouldn't it actually make it easier for the hogs to know that they are being looked at when a bright light shines on them?

I thought a lot of states allowed the shooting of wild boars year round, because they are such a pest.

Just be sure the game warden hasn't seen any deer recently when he sees someone operating a spotlight while armed with a hunting rifle. He may feel the obligation to investigate and treat it as jacklighting deer.
