Anyone have and tips for going about this? Would the Pelican bulb fit through the reflector?

It wouldn't be an easy mod. The hole in the reflector would need to be enlarged to fit the bulb and base. Then, you would need the compatible base, which does not exist, so you would have to fabricate your own.
FM was selling an adapter to use bipin bulbs, a much better solution as no reflector mods are required. I believe he is out of them but considering another run.

BSBG is right - much better to get FM's Bi-Pin socket for MN LAs. If you post at the end of that thread, this will encourage him to do the next run. You can run any 4mm bi-pin bulb in this socket, which makes it a drop-in mod which you can re-use with a SF LA any time you want.
Modding a SF KT1, KT4 etc head would be very difficult, and you would stand a high chance of ruining the reflector in an expensive head.
