Run-Time Plot - Brinkmann Long Life LED

This runtime plot is for a Brinkmann Long Life LED flashlight running on two Everactive AA batteries.

Equipment used is a Extech Mdl 401021 LightAdapter into a Radio Shack 22-805 multimeter with a PC interface that is using Scopeview software (V1.08).

The vertical axix is in mVDC and is equivalent to one Footcandle per mVDC. The horizontal axis is one hour per dividion.

Be aware that your actual battery milage may vary from that indicated by this runtime plot.

The runtime to 50% of max brightness = 23 hours 7 minutes

This is the light that started me on the road to flashaholism!

Spotted this light in WalMart back in Dec of '01. Liked it so muchI gave 5 of them out as Christmas presents. While researching light producing LED's, I came across The LED Museum, which in turn led me to the Candle Power Forum!

I was reminded of this light this past weekend, when two of the folks that I gave Long Life's to, both commented on the fact that they were still on their origional set of batteries. I realized that I had never measured the runtime on this little light, so here it is......23+ hours! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

im am also still on original batteries. had this light since about the time/or before i joined the forum. this was my first LED flashlight and probably what started it all for me. ya know i was just playing with light last night(it's my bedside light) and was thinking about just leaving it on all night to see how long it would go........

The AA Rebel and the Long Life both share the same internals....only the outer shell is different.
