This runtime plot is for a Fire~Fly II with a CR2 Li battery. This Fire~Fly II uses a BB 650 Lux III module with a NX05 optic.

Equipment used is a Extech Mdl 401021 Light Adapter into a Radio Shack 22-805 multimeter with a PC interface that is using Scopeview software (V 1.08).

The vertical axis in Vdc and is equivalent to 1Fc per mVdc at 1 foot. The horizontal axis is 15 minutres per division.

Be aware that your actual battery milage may vary from that indicated by this runtime plot.

The runtime to 50% max brightness is 20 minutes.

Here is the runtime for the same Fire~Fly II except it is using a SureFire SF123A Li battery

Runtime to 50% max brightness = 58 minutes

FYI....I ran the plot for the CR2 twice and got the same result both times.

The CR2 that I used was also a DPower! Anyone know what the capasity(sp) of a CR2 and the average 123 is?

I know that size does matter, but for me, it doesn't look like the CR2 configuration of the FF-II is going to be anything I'm going to stick with for any length of time. I just don't feel the smaller size of the CR2 setup justifies the much DECREASED amount of runtime.

dito Ray ... for this sacrifice the size has to be much smaller, like a Larry Light CR2 II ... where the CR2 cell is the coolest choice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
