Run-Time Plot - HuntLight FT-A3

These runtime plots are for the HuntLight FT-A3 (FT-04XJA3) using alkaline and Lithium AAA batteries.

Equipment used is a Extech Mdl 401021 Light Adapter into a Radio Shack 22-805 multimeter with a PC interface using Scopeview software (V 1.08).

The vertical axis is in mVDC and is equivalent to 1Fc@1Ft per 1mVDC. The horizontal axis isin units of time (15m/div).

Be aware that your actual battery milage may vary from that indicated by this runtime plot.


The runtime to 50% max brightness = 53 min using an AAA alkaline battery.

The runtime to 50% max brightness = 1h 37m using an AAA lithium battery.

Hi Roy ... thanks for the runtimes. Looks like a real improvement over my first generation model FT-A3 (the kind without the knurling on the head, bought back when model was first announced in May/June). Mine only gives me 30mins on alkaline and 55mins on lithium to 50%.

Just discovered that the bezel is adjustable! This allows the beam pattern to be adjusted fromt tight to wide!
