This runtime plot is for an Inova X-5 that is using 2x123 Battery Station Lithium battery.

Equipment used is a Extech Mdl 401021 Light Adapter into a Raadio Shack 22-805 multimeter with a PC interface that is using ScopeView software (V 1.08).

The vertical axis is in mVDC and is equavalent 10 Fc @ 1Ft per division. The horizontal axis is 30 minutes per division.

Be aware that your actual battery milage may vary from that indicater by this runtime plot.

The runtime to 50% max brightness = 4 hours 2 minutes.

This is not a new, in the box, Inova X-5. It is over a year old and has see a lot of hard ware. It belongs to a cable and home enterainment system installer who spends a lot of working time crawling around in attics!

One thing to note about the Inovas is that the battery goes in negative to the light and the positive to the end cap.

They say "up to 20 hours of light" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif This is quite far from it. I was expecting more like 10 hours of light from X5(T). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hugo.

ONe thing to notice.....I stoppped the test at 13 hours while it was still putting out some light. The continuing problem is in defining just what "useful" light is!!!

Thanks Roy, it's about time someone debunked the myth that the X5T would run for 20 hours. Four hours of runtime for $2.50 worth of batteries is not much of a bargain. It's just as cheap to run a 1 watt luxeon in a single CR123a flashlight, and the Luxeon is a lot brighter.
