This runtime plot is for a Universal Battery Holder (UBH) with a KL-1 head using 3x123 Sure Fire Li Batteries.

Equipment used is a photocell and a Radio Shack 22-805 multimeter with a PC interface that is using ScopeView software (V 1.08).

The vertical axis is in ma and the horizontal axis is one hour per division.

Be aware that your actual battery milage may vary from that indicated by this runtime plot.

McGizmo....I like your explanation of what happened!

I thought that the batteries may have dropped out of regulation, then did a voltage recovery when the load dropped, and then came back into partial regulation!

Early posted charts suggest that the KL1 vs. KL3 charts show that 2 * 123 cells will cause a KL1 to drop into mood mode a few minutes earlier than a KL3.

These same charts show the KL3 dropping off at the 7.25 hour point on 3 @ 123's while Roy's chart shows the KL3 lasting until the 7.75 hour point. I wonder what caused this inconsistency. Maybe the 8% time difference relates to the batteries.

A different runtime might be caused by a difference in Vf of that specific Luxeon as well.

Hey Clark, I like that new term you inadvertently (I think) coined! Heh heh...
