This runtime plot is for an Electrolumens XM-3 using a 3w LS LED. The XM-3 uses 2 AA batteries. Ultra Alkaline Supercell AA batteries from Walgreens were used for the plot.

Equipment used is an Extech Mdl 401021 Light adapter into a Radio Shack 22-805 multimeter with a PC intgerface that is using Scopeview software (V 1.08)

The vertical axis is 60 mVdc per divisionwhich is equivalent to 60Fc@1Ft per division. The horizontal axis is 15 minutes per division.

Be aware that your actual battery milage may vary from that indicated by this runtime plot.

The runtime to 50% max brightness = 107 minutes

I'm not sure of just what happened in the first five minutes....could be the batteries warming up?

Thanks roy. is it possible for your test it with a pair of L91 lithiums? I'll be more than happy to provide you with a pair......I have had very good resutls with mine but just want a sientific reading of it.

Added runtime plots using L91 AA Lithium batteries. Looks like the XM-3 really likes the Lithium batteries!
