The 3xNiCD battery pack in my phone died a while back. It's 3.6V with 600mAh capacity rating. I'm wondering if I can take one of my 14500s or other Li-Ions, attach the wires to the battery, and use the Li-Ion instead of the NiCD for the phone. Would this be safe? Would it damage the phone?

Thanks.

Hello Jsr,

There should be no problem using a Li-Ion to replace 3 NiCd cells, but don't try to charge it with the stock NiCd phone charger.

Thanks Tom! Oh yeah, forgot about the charger part. Gotta keep that in mind.
