Grox,

Here are the pics from your pack being "born":

And as you can probably see in the pics, I now test all packs with both the original AW black cells and the new IMR cells 🙂

I would like pack #27, just confirming availability before PM'ing values and sending Paypal... 🙂

Edit- email, and paypal sent. Thank you!

Awesome! A pile of MN15, MN20, and HO-M3T's await! Thank you... 🙂

Edit- Arrived and used a bit, REALLY solid and well built. I appreciate the fast service, and look forward to giving it a workout! The soft start is great- fast enough to be almost unnoticed, but I'm sure the bulbs appreciate it!

Where did you get those IMR cells? I thought they don't exist in this size? What is their max. rated discharge current?

Good question. In order to keep this thread for sales-only dialog, you can read more about the IMR cells in the discussion thread for the PhD-M6 pack ...

Myself and a few more have discussed the IMR cells in that thread 🙂

Hi Will,

Thanks for the pack - what a fine piece of work! I have been away and did not get the chance to open the package until today.

Cheers!

are these still available for sale? I recently picked up an M6. Not sure what voltages to ask for. would primarily be running a mn15 and an mn20 and mn60. Not sure if an mn21 would be viable.

Yes - I still have parts to make a few more. Contact me via email (in my signature) for more details.

As to settings, Eric has created a chart comparing many bulbs, in regards with their output, current draw, recommended drive level, etc.. We are not recommending using all of those bulbs with the PhD-M6, since many of them really go past the safe 2C load on the cells, but it is still a very good summary, and a good way to compare bulbs, so that you can have some options. Updated bulb charts/tables from Eric:

Thanks to forum member and contributor Justin_Case, we also have available the same information as a graph/photo (PNG format):

The set of values "C5" is very popular:

C5
Level 1 = 6.8Vrms
Level 2 = 7.5Vrms
Level 3 = 9.2Vrms
Level 4 = 10.8Vrms

Hi Will, I bought one of your black PhD M6 custom battery packs on cpfmp. I love it very much, but I want different value settings for its four outputs. If I send it back you, could you adjust the four output levels to what I specify? How much would I PP you to do that for me?

Thanks.

:paypal:

Level 1 = 5.0Vrms
Level 2 = 7.0Vrms
Level 3 = 9.4Vrms
Level 4 = 10.0Vrms

Thanks!
Payment received - thanks. I should be able to get your pack done later this week.

For one or all 4 values, I have to reprogram and re-calibrate the pack. Cost is $40 for the labor plus shipping back to you.

Your pack is ready. But more importantly, as I worked in your pack, I also noted that I have run out of parts to make more, so yours will be the last pack for this project which started over 3 years ago.

So here are photos of your pack, the last one:

After programming, testing, calibrating, and testing the pack again:

Final test - running the mighty MN21 at 7.0 volts - I have never tried that before!

Your pack is ready to be shipped:

Thank you for your order, and thanks much CPF for all of the great support on this project 🙂
