Had to check what # I was on the list but saw my name handwritten on those envelopes. I can't believe how fast you are at putting those tiny circuits together! As soon as you got those parts it took only a week to put a handful together.

Still waiting here in the West coast. I never thought i'd feel so anxious walking to my mailbox everyday. 🙂

Package recieved! Definately a solid build. The P7 LED is HUGE in comparison to the single die P4 and Q5 variants. I can see why large diameter reflectors are a must for the P7 and MC-E.

This light is bright! Too bad I lost my BELOVED Aleph2 a few days ago...It would have been nice to compare the overall output to my P4 @ 1A. The flood output of this light is definitely gonna take some getting use to, especially when all you've had were single die LEDs with prominent hotspots.

We've got about another 1.5hrs of daylight here in San Diego. I'll try to snap some shots later and compare it to a R2 Drop-in for my Surefire which was close in light output to my Aleph.

1.5hrs and counting.....

BTW....thanks sabrewolf...definitely worth the wait!

See pictures below. Single pictures were getting too big and using up too much bandwidth. I converted the comparison shots into GIF animations so that they are easier to view.

^ Nice pics! Thanks for that!

I just got some more drivers in today... But i still had to order some more
to replace the ones that never shipped 😳
I'll get some more lights out on monday for about a dozen people meethinks.
(Still have to recount the 7135 driver chips i have)

Then again, Thank you all for being sooooo patient
These little buggers aren't quick and easy to put together 😗
So i will do them as fast as i recieve the parts

Woohooo!

THANK YOU both for the comments.

Here are more shots for those that didn't get theirs yet.

The following 3 shots are High-Medium-Low in different angles from the last set.

EDIT...Pictures were taking up too much space and bandwidth so I consolidated the sets to GIF animations.

Here is my modded Aleph2 with a SSC-P4 LED running at 1amp. It's BIN rating puts this flashlight's output at about 200lumens. Check out how much brighter the P7 is...albeit at 3.8A!!!

Check out the house that peeks over the fence...you can see the P7's "sidespill" at that distance which is about 125ft.

I've tried other shots and various ceiling bounce tests and I feel that these shots show the true to life performance between the two. What you see here is very close to what i see in person. There are however details the camera could not pick up that my night adjusted eyes could...so the details outside of the sidespill can actually be seen with the naked eye.
