I'd like a 300mA version please.

:paypal: (Unique Transaction ID #1RD81157Y0076461D)

Just for kicks I read the Maxim datasheet on the IC. I don't know how you have the indicator LED powered but it looks like you could make a double ended charger, maybe two of those USB connectors soldered or glued back to back and flipped so you get a little brick with a USB connector on each end, one side feeding the 100mA input and the other the 300mA.

Hello Sabrewolf,

Payment sent on a 100mA USB microcharger. I need this for my little batteries 10440/10280/10180

Thanks!

Hi Robert,

Thanks for another great product!

I was able to charge up my AW "C" 3.7v Li-ion via a Belkin USB powered hub.

I especially like the little LED that goes out when battery is charged.

Cheers,

Mark

paypal sent for 100ma version. This is foe my 10280 cell.

Quick Q... Can I also use this safely to charge my 3.7v li-ion cell phone battery?

It depends on the battery..
You would have to have a datasheet
handy for me to tell you :sssh:
What model phone do ya have?

If the circuit builtin to the battery
will charge with just an input without
a logic circuit talking to it, Then Yes

Thanks for the orders folks!!

Looks like i need to order more charging I.C.'s lovecpf

Ohh.. and i have a project going that will utilize an 8x Bay Rayovac
charging station.. It will be fully converted to 8x Li-Ion/Imr charging
with all bays selectable for 100mA/500Ma charge rates.
And will handle 10440's up to d-cell sizes.

Oh.. All the bays are fully independant.. That means you can charge
as many diff cells as you want at a time. And! it will run from 12v
with the proper adapter..

I was going to ask 175$ for this monster of a charger..
If anyone is interested in the prototype, Just post here 🙂

A few quickie pics of what iam working with:

More details to come!

Will the monster charger handle the little cells like 10180 and 10280 too?

With spacers, Yes
But the real question is...
What is a safe current level to charge them at?

50mA? If so, I can make a couple of channels
on the charger switchable from 50mA/500mA 😎

Any input is greatly appreciated on this project :twothumbs

Ohh, And i DO intend to build that "Micro Usb" charger
that was talked about a few weeks ago :poof: :grin2:

spacers suck. It would be nice if you could modify the slots that controls the spacing to get the contacts close enough together, or have a cradle for the little batteries. If I had the skills and tools, I'd have made a cradle myself. I hate fumbling with the spacers.

I was thinking of that.. But i havent taken that charger apart to see if its possible.

If that doesnt work out, a spacer that fit over the moving contact would be nice, made long enough to be a tight fit for a 10180, or even close to touching. The spring loaded movement of the contact would take care of the rest for batteries that are smaller than the minimum opening. :hitit:

Just took apart the charger..
I can modify a couple of the bays for short batts
And its easy to use some nice round magnets for the other bays.
