Anyone seen these? I think they are at wal-mart as well.....they are only $70. I'll probably get one and see how many yards I can light up

If it's the halegon bulb, you may want to reconsider. I have a 300 watt halegon portable, & it's almost to bright to be usable. Also, check on replacement bulbs. Cost & availability. TX

I can't imagine a light too bright to be useable

There are times when they can be too bright, heretical notion that it is; if I'm working outside, I generally don't need the extra bug attractant that it would serve as-
might be good for a party or something, if it's mounted up high enough to disperse.
I have a high power movie light used back before the days of 1 lux camcorders, and if you direct it at someone without bouncing it, you'll get nice expressions of them squinting at the camera.
But if it's just for wow-check-it-out fun, the more the merrier

Brocken,
I never would have though that a light could be bright enough for me either. Then - I got an M6 ......

I hardly use the MN21 500 Lu LA for 20 minute option, except to help out with the security of my apartment block: to shock people hanging around for dodgy purposes.

The MN20, with 250 Lu for 60 minutes is a really practical and luxurious brightness, with a superb beam pattern. The pure quality of the light is an extra which makes it double the value (to me).

For all practical purposes, I've found *The Answer*. (!?!?!!)

I've had it a few months now, and still feel the same, so it's not just the novelty value of such a small powerful package.
And it's the LOLA I prefer, not the HOLA - weird ......

I saw this one at Sams. Stand/rack with 3 500w lights. Appears well made and may be a bang for the $ if you need this much light. It's not small by any means tho.
