Sanyo AAA NiMH 1000s--maybe yes, maybe no

I put my four spiffy new Sanyo 1000s through break-in mode in my spiffy new Maha C9000, and here are the capacities in mAh it gave, following the multiday process:

Either there's a lot of sample variation among the cells, or the break-in process isn't consistent. Anybody else have experience with the Sanyos?
