I was in Ultimate Electronics today... briefly, and next to the Eneloops, were 2-packs of Sanyo CR123's. I think they said made in Japan. They did however have alot of Chinese on the label. They werent the standard Sanyo lithiums Ive seen on Amazon etc, with the orange color/stripe. From inside the package these appeared to have all white labels, like an Eneloop. Not rechargeables. But they were only $3.99 for the 2-pack. :huh: I did not see any date on them either.
The Eneloops were the MSRP price. So how could these 123's be so cheap??
