Just grabbed my 4D mag that sits in my closet as an emergency weak flashlight/quality bludgeon, and upon opening it found that at least the bottom cell has seriously leaked and has gotten itself chemically stuck in the tube where a good banging is having no effect at getting the batteries out to try and clean things up and salvage the light.
My primary instinct is to just toss the whole thing and call it a day - I'm more of a high output LED kinda flashlight guy - but this WAS a perfectly serviceable 4D Mag (in fact even with the bad cell in there it fires up perfectly fine.)
So: Toss it, or get the cells out and clean it up; and if the latter, how the heck can I get them out of there?
