I bought a SC52w and a SC52Fw
I still have not found the time to make photos
You can look at the difference between H52w and H52Fw that is very similar

My advice is to buy version SC52w, the F version has a little throw

The F version has an advantage in the house or outside on very short distance,

but for use in outdoor may perceive the lack of throw

I hope understandable (Translate with Google)

Another question to help you decide:
What do you use the light for the most? Answering that could help you determine if you need something that can go a further when you need it to versus close range work only.

Also worth noting, it's easy to diffuse the light of a non frosted lens than the other way around.

I own the SC52 and while I'm very happy about it, I think I would have preferred an SC52F(w).
The Frosted glass is amazing and so, so different from a bare led / mule style emitter. It has direction but no hotspot.

I really wish synology made something like a proper clip/screw on diffuser though, or at least make the lens a BIT user-replaceable. You can always DiY something, but the proper F versions are very compact and nice to work with, and there's nothing to fall off in your pocket like with DiY solutions.

Thanks for the pictures and quotes.

I really like the beam of SC52F. Now I wish ZL can bring out SC52Fd.
